Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager (Contract) to lead a nationwide payment integration and hardware rollout initiative. The role focuses on managing API-based integrations with payment vendors, collaborating with engineering and operations teams, and driving both technical and operational workstreams. Strong candidates will bring hands-on payment systems experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to coordinate complex deployments.

Summary of Responsibilities:

+ Drive efforts to replace the current payment terminals and systems across Canadian locations.

+ Oversee all aspects of technology integration between external payment partners and internal engineering teams—including API implementation, system validation, and compliance procedures.

+ Act as the primary product lead for payment solutions, managing ongoing enhancements and resolving technical/product issues.

+ Collaborate with project management and operational teams to coordinate the deployment of new payment terminals to multiple facilities, focusing on logistics, roll-out strategy, and organizational change management.

Requirements

Ideal Experience and Skills:

+ Over three years working in product management or related technical program roles, ideally within payments, fintech, or point-of-sale environments.

+ Hands-on familiarity with payment systems and hardware—such as physical terminal configuration, EMV/chip processing, and payment data security standards (e.g., PCI DSS).

+ Aptitude for partnering with development teams to execute and troubleshoot API-centric integrations and read technical documentation.

+ Demonstrable history of working with cross-functional stakeholders on hardware implementations across numerous locations.

+ Strong organization, communication, and documentation abilities; proven record of managing stakeholder relationships.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Past roles involving migration or integration projects for payment hardware and service providers (examples: working with or replacing Moneris, Chase, Ingenico, Worldline, etc.).

+ Experience overseeing concurrent streams for technical integration and operational deployment
