Description We are looking for an entry-level Financial Analyst to join our team in Santa Barbara, California. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in financial analysis and accounting within a detail-oriented environment. The role involves working on statistical reporting, data analysis, and journal entries, making it ideal for candidates eager to grow their expertise in finance.

Responsibilities:

• Compile and prepare statistical reports for submission to state authorities.

• Conduct research and follow up to ensure timely and accurate report processing.

• Download, organize, and analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights.

• Manipulate data using formulas and advanced Excel functions to support financial operations.

• Create and maintain journal entries with precision and attention to detail.

• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline financial processes.

• Apply data mining techniques to uncover trends and improve decision-making.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations. Requirements • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in financial analysis or accounting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and advanced formulas.

• Familiarity with accounting software systems, such as Workday.

• Strong technical skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets.

• Knowledge of accrual accounting principles and auditing practices.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work on-site Monday through Friday.
