Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Huntsville, Alabama. This contract position with the potential for permanent placement offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the finance director, handling a variety of accounting tasks and contributing to the overall efficiency of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Microsoft Dynamics and a proven track record in managing essential accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and oversee general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with standards.

• Perform regular account reconciliations to verify the integrity of financial data.

• Conduct detailed bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between company records and bank statements.

• Collaborate with the finance director to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics to manage and analyze financial data effectively.

• Assist in preparing financial reports and ensuring adherence to established deadlines.

• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.

• Monitor financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

• Contribute to the development of improved accounting practices and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior-level role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics is required.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliation.

• Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and in collaboration with a team.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
