Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to assist with reconciling vacation and sick leave balances for employees at our company. This is a Contract position requiring strong organizational skills and expertise in financial record-keeping. Based in New York, New York, this role offers an opportunity to contribute to the accurate management of employee records.

Responsibilities:

• Review and reconcile employee vacation and sick leave balances using provided payroll data.

• Analyze paycheck records to identify accrued time taken by employees since a specified date.

• Calculate updated balances for vacation and sick leave based on payroll information.

• Ensure accuracy in reviewing and updating financial records related to employee benefits.

• Collaborate with payroll systems to address discrepancies and verify correct balances.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of reconciliation processes and findings.

• Communicate effectively with internal teams to clarify data and resolve queries.

• Utilize bookkeeping software to manage accounts and ensure accurate reporting.

• Support the organization in maintaining compliance with financial policies and procedures. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other bookkeeping software.

• Knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Experience with bank reconciliations and financial record analysis.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large sets of data.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams.

• Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.

• Familiarity with payroll systems is a plus.
