Description
We are looking for a dedicated Collections Coordinator to join our team in Columbus, OH. In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting customers who are facing payment challenges, helping them navigate their options and find solutions. This is a long-term contract position that requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work within a structured schedule.
Responsibilities:
• Reach out to customers who are behind on payments to understand their situation and assess next steps.
• Collaborate with customers to determine appropriate solutions, including transferring them to specialized groups or setting up payment plans.
• Follow a structured schedule with designated breaks and lunch periods to ensure consistent coverage.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to maintain positive client relationships.
• Utilize strong communication skills to explain options and address customer concerns effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and actions taken.
• Work closely with teams to ensure seamless transitions for customers requiring additional support.
• Apply problem-solving skills to develop tailored solutions for individual customer cases.
• Stay informed about company policies and procedures to provide accurate information.
• Demonstrate professionalism and empathy in all customer interactions.
Requirements • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with customers.
• Ability to work within a rigid schedule, including assigned breaks and lunch periods.
• Experience in payment processing or related financial tasks is a plus.
• Proven ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
• Familiarity with sales techniques such as door-to-door sales is advantageous.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records.
