Description We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to oversee and enhance our organization's technology operations in San Antonio, Texas. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong technical foundation and expertise in networking, virtualization, backup solutions, and enterprise platforms such as JD Edwards. The successful candidate will drive innovation, ensure system reliability, and provide leadership to the IT team.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain the organization's IT systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
• Oversee Cisco networking infrastructure, including configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Administer enterprise resource planning systems such as JD Edwards, collaborating with stakeholders to streamline processes.
• Implement and manage VMware virtualization environments to support scalability and operational efficiency.
• Develop and execute backup strategies using Veeam to safeguard organizational data and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
• Lead vendor selection and negotiation processes to obtain quality services while optimizing costs.
• Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices that align with business objectives.
• Manage IT budgets, resources, and project timelines to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the IT team, encouraging continuous growth and improvement.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and industry best practices. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; certifications in Cisco, VMware, or JD Edwards are advantageous.
• At least 7 years of experience in IT management, with expertise in networking, enterprise systems, and virtualization.
• Proficiency in Cisco networking technologies, including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of backup solutions, such as Veeam, and disaster recovery planning.
• Experience administering enterprise resource planning systems like JD Edwards.
• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts effectively.
