Description

We are seeking a GIS Analyst to collect, manage, and analyze geospatial data to support business operations, planning, and decision-making. This role combines technical GIS expertise with strong analytical and visualization skills to deliver actionable insights from spatial data. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with GIS software, data analysis, and mapping solutions.

Key Responsibilities

+ Collect, process, and maintain geospatial and spatial datasets from multiple sources

+ Perform spatial analysis, modeling, and mapping to support projects and business decisions

+ Develop and maintain GIS databases, layers, and geospatial assets

+ Create and update maps, dashboards, and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders

+ Support data integration and GIS workflows with other systems and platforms (ERP, CRM, CAD)

+ Collaborate with business units, planners, engineers, or environmental teams to understand GIS requirements

+ Apply data quality standards and ensure accuracy and consistency of geospatial information

+ Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders

+ Stay current on GIS technology trends, best practices, and software updates

Requirements

+ 2–5+ years of experience as a GIS Analyst, GIS Specialist, or Spatial Analyst

+ Proficiency with GIS software: ArcGIS, QGIS, Esri suite, MapInfo, or similar

+ Experience with spatial databases and SQL/PostGIS

+ Familiarity with geospatial data formats (shapefiles, geodatabases, LiDAR, raster/vector)

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Experience in data visualization (Power BI, Tableau, ArcGIS Dashboards)

Preferred Qualifications

+ Exposure to Python, R, or other scripting languages for geospatial analysis

+ Experience in public sector, urban planning, utilities, transportation, or environmental GIS projects

+ Familiarity with cloud GIS platforms: ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, AWS, or Azure GIS tools

+ Experience integrating GIS with enterprise systems (ERP, CAD, IoT)

+ Relevant GIS certifications (GISP, Esri Technical Certification)
