Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Northwest Houston area. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing full-cycle monthly accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in QuickBooks Online and intermediate proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of monthly accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Perform thorough account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to maintain data integrity.

• Monitor and manage fixed asset records, including depreciation calculations.

• Handle month-end closing procedures to finalize financial statements.

• Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage financial transactions and reporting.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and best practices in all processes.

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve workflows.

• Analyze financial data to provide insights and support decision-making.

• Maintain organized and comprehensive documentation for audit and reporting purposes.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on full-cycle accounting.

• Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance.

• Strong knowledge of journal entry preparation and account reconciliation.

• Experience with fixed asset management, including depreciation schedules.

• Advanced skills in QuickBooks Online and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes.

• Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills to work effectively across teams.
