Description We are looking for a dedicated Financial Aid Representative to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital role in supporting students and learners by guiding them through financial aid processes, navigating payment options, and ensuring a seamless experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to inbound calls and inquiries, identifying the needs of callers and providing tailored solutions aligned with organizational policies.
• Assist students in understanding financing options, payment methods, and university guidelines to address their concerns effectively.
• Collaborate with Financial Aid Advisors to support day-to-day activities and ensure timely assistance for students.
• Manage both inbound and outbound communication to maintain queue efficiency and proactively engage students.
• Operate within a team environment to uphold high-quality service standards, participate in team discussions, and provide constructive feedback.
• Document and update student information accurately while working closely with Financial Aid Advisors to ensure records are up-to-date.
• Identify trends and address root causes of common issues by working with the Financial Aid Support Team.
• Meet performance objectives related to call volume and other key metrics, ensuring consistent results.
• Process payments and ensure proper updates to student records in collaboration with Financial Aid Advisors.
• Maintain a strong understanding of university systems, policies, and federal regulations related to financial aid. Requirements • Strong experience in call center customer service or similar roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel for effective communication and data management.
• Ability to handle multi-line phone systems and respond to inquiries efficiently.
• Accurate typing and data entry skills to maintain precise records.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to address complex student needs.
• Capability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic work setting.
• Adaptability to changing environments and willingness to innovate for better outcomes.
