Description
We are seeking an experienced and detailed-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with general ledger, accounts payable, inventory, and creating and understanding Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routing. CPA certification is a plus, though not a requirement.
Responsibilities:
+ Prepare, analyze and report weekly, monthly, quarterly analysis.
+ Ensure timely and accurate inventory management.
+ Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, leveraging current Oracle software.
+ Guide junior accounting staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
+ Reconcile complex accounts and banks.
+ Assist with audits and testing.
+ Maintain Accounts Payable workbook
+ Responsible for set up and maintenance of standard costs of inventory.
+ Variance analysis and reporting.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Oracle systems and advanced knowledge of cost accounting principles.
• In-depth understanding of Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routing processes.
• Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Preferred but not required: certification in accounting (e.g., CPA or equivalent).
