    As Customs Brokerage Supervisor in freight forwarding, you will oversee a team to ensure the timely and compliant clearance of goods, acting as a liaison with customs authorities and clients, You will be responsible for minimizing delays, ensuring regulatory adherence, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by managing workflow and client communication.

    How you create impact

    + Prepare and submit accurate import documentation for customs clearance by ensuring compliance with all relevant customs laws, import regulations, and trade agreements

    + Review commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other shipping documents for accuracy and completeness

    + Verify tariff classifications, customs values, and duty calculations to ensure correct tariff rates are applied

    + Coordinate the clearance of goods through customs and Partner Government Agencies and resolve issues related to customs delays, fines, or discrepancies in documentation

    + Work closely with customs authorities to ensure timely release of goods

    + Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding customs-related inquiries and update the status of their shipments

    + Stay up to date on changes in customs laws, regulations, and tariffs to ensure full compliance

    + Maintain an understanding of imports, international trade policies, and documentation requirements

    + Investigate and resolve issues such as shipment delays, regulatory noncompliance, or discrepancies in documentation

    + Maintain accurate records of transactions, correspondence, and customs clearance activities

    + You will train and advise team in areas of Customs Brokerage Regulations and monitor staff training needs; identify and develop training objectives

    + Conduct regular staff meetings; communicate department goals and expectations

    What we would like you to bring

    + Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or related field

    + 5+ years of experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or a related logistics field

    + Strong understanding of customs regulations, import/export processes, and compliance requirements

    + Experience with customs software and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

    + Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
