Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Description
As a Senior Accountant, you will perform and oversee general accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. You will manage and maintain billing processes within Workday, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Additionally, you will support month-end and year-end close activities, including the preparation of financial statements and reports, collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing discrepancies, and assist with audits to ensure adherence to GAAP and internal controls.
Responsibilities
+ Perform and oversee general accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
+ Manage and maintain billing processes within Workday, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
+ Support month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation of financial statements and reports.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing discrepancies and improve process efficiency.
+ Assist with audits and ensure adherence to GAAP and internal controls.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to system enhancements.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in accounting, general ledger, reconciliation, and month-end processes.
+ Proficiency in Workday Billing and financial reporting.
+ Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
+ 2+ years of GL accounting experience.
+ 6+ months of experience with Workday Billing.
+ Proficient in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with process improvements and system enhancements is beneficial.
+ Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Work Environment
Enjoy a hybrid work environment with the flexibility to work in the office two days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday). You will be part of a supportive team of four. The team is dynamic, acquiring multiple businesses a year, which provides many opportunities for growth and involvement in various projects. The office has a parking garage nearby. You will be working under a manager who is committed to the success of the team and offers support as needed.

This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $55.29/hr.
