Summary of Role:
As a Reliability Engineer working in the US-based Reliability team at Fab 8 in Malta, New York, you will be responsible for reliability characterization and evaluation for advanced CMOS technology nodes, mainly focusing on intrinsic wafer-level reliability mechanisms such as electromigration, stress-induced voiding, and time dependent dielectric breakdown of MOL/BEOL interconnects. In addition, advanced packaging solutions and evaluations will be a focus. In this role, you will collaborate with Process Integration and Advanced Module Engineering to develop reliable technology solutions and assessing the reliability risk of a manufacturing process. You will provide wafer-level reliability support for technology qualification and process improvement.
Essential Responsibilities Include:
+ Develop reliability models and test methodologies for MOL, BEOL, Advanced Packaging, and CPI reliability.
+ Lead process qualification and reliability risk assessments for MOL/BEOL/Advanced Packaging/CPI.
+ Collaborate with Quality, Process Integration, and Advanced Module Engineering to support cross-functional milestones and provide wafer-level reliability expertise.
+ Address customer reliability requests and issues while driving continuous improvement in technology and manufacturing processes.
Other Responsibilities:
+ Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
+ Education – Graduating with PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or related field from an accredited degree program.
+ Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.
+ Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
+ Travel - Up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Prior related internship or co-op experience.
+ Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
+ Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong planning & organizational skills

Expected Salary Range
$79,100.00 - $145,800.00
