About this Role
The Senior Project Controls Manager works directly with the Project Leadership Team in the overall control of major projects, specifically responsible and supervising budget management; cost management; trending analysis and forecasting; change management; risk management; planning and scheduling management; progress and performance management and reporting. Other responsibilities will also include engineering, procurement and construction estimate coordination; contract management; and project staffing management and planning.
What You'll Do
The Senior Manager, Project Controls is responsible for all aspects of project controls during engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and project closeout phases of the project or projects within a program.
The Senior Manager, Project Controls will have industry experience related to various projects including Capital Projects, High Voltage Transmission Line projects, all within a standalone project or within a Grouping of Projects with a specific focus on all aspects related to Project Controls.

+ You will be an advocate of the Quanta Capacity Model and the STKY Program (Stuff That Kills You), and be accountable for leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, schedule, sustainability and project compliance standards.
Internal / External Customer Focus – Deliver on Our Promise
+ Lead project controls (cost / schedule / risk / change and field progressing)
+ Develop Project Controls Execution Plan (PCEP), either in a standalone plan or part of the overall Project Execution Plan (PEP)
+ Assist with development of project controls processes and procedures as required.
+ Responsible for ad hoc project requests and inquiries, as required.

+ You will manage Project Controls in the execution of Projects particularly with respect to the cost, schedule, change, risk, progress and performance and reporting.
+ You will support the Senior Director of Major Projects Reporting, Quanta Management and stakeholders in positively influencing project outcomes.

+ You will be a mentor / coach to help develop internal project teams from different OpU’s within an environment to share knowledge and experience.

+ Develop a full understanding of the Quanta Services Operating Model and the support we need to provide to our Quanta Operating Units as an enabler for success.
+ You will support the Major Projects Reporting Group and Senior Director of Major Projects Reporting with worldclass project controls implementation for the assigned projects.
What You'll Bring
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field. (MS, MBA will be an advantage)
+ 15+ years in project controls, cost engineering, or project management, with a strong background in capital and major projects portfolio.
+ Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, along with the ability to assure service delivery and provide meaningful / actionable insights.
+ Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office Tools, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
+ Advanced proficiency in cost and schedule management, project forecasting, and risk analysis.
+ Expertise with managing and reporting data from project controls tools (Primavera P6, JDE, EcoSys, and earned value management (EVM)).
+ Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements for EPC project execution.
+ Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite especially dashboard reporting and Power BI.
+ Experience leading project controls for a Major EPC and Capital Project organization and/or project program.
+ Extensive knowledge of EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) execution models, including contracting strategies for Lump Sum, T&M and Unit Rate.
+ Experience in joint venture projects.
+ Being a key interface with internal and external stakeholders, and other consultants at all project stages.
+ Proven team player with the ability to work effectively in cross-function teams and to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships.
+ Strong organizational and time management abilities; capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
+ Innovative individual with proactive, analytical approach to problem identification and resolution.
