    Job Details

    Responsibilities:

    + The oncology pharmacist evaluates, processes, prepares and dispenses medication orders for the oncology patient population.

    + Provides clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners, participates in quality improvement, medication use review, clinical activities and/or patient education as directed.

    + Participates in the development of order sets, medication records, educational references and tools for pharmacy staff, nursing staff and medical staff, and competencies for pharmacy staff as directed.

    + Supervises and directs support personnel and in the absence of a supervisor, may be required to assume the essential responsibilities of and perform the duties of the pharmacy supervisor.

    + Provides leadership and direction in accordance with departmental goals and policies and support administrative decisions.

    + Supports the mission and vision of Good Samaritan University Hospital Medical Center.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS in Pharmacy, an MS in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy.

    + Licensed to practice in the State of NY.

    + Completion of PGY2 ASHP Accredited Oncology Residency preferred.

    + Oncology pharmacy board certification preferred (BCOP).

     

    Salary Range

     

    USD $63.00 - USD $82.80 /Hr.

     

    This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
