Exchange Operations Engineer

Irving, TX

Hybrid (3 Days in 2 Days remote)

Job Description

The organization is migrating mailboxes to Exchange Online and requires an engineer with strong experience in Exchange 2019 and cloud-based Exchange environments. The engineer will support migration activities, maintain operational stability, and troubleshoot complex mail flow issues across multiple client environments.

+ Support and maintain Exchange 2016/2019 and Exchange Online environments

+ Manage and troubleshoot multi-node DAGs across multiple data centers

+ Perform documentation review and work within Remedy for ticketing and change control

+ Troubleshoot and identify root cause of Exchange mail flow issues

+ Collaborate effectively via Skype, WebEx, or Microsoft Teams

+ Communicate clearly with LOBs, clients, and technical stakeholders

+ Provide consistent daily productivity with minimal supervision

+ Participate in on-call rotation and monitor systems using SCOM

Required Skills & Experience

+ 5–10 years of experience with Exchange 2016 or newer

+ Strong hands-on experience with multi-node DAGs and clustering

+ Operational monitoring experience using SCOM

+ Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mail flow issues

+ Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive issues to completion

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Experience with Exchange Online / Microsoft 365

+ Ability to work independently and deliver consistent results

Desired Skills

+ ITIL certification or strong understanding of ITIL principles

+ Experience with server, storage, and network technologies

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Irving, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
