Responsibilities
HP develops high-performance Z Workstations based on Intel and AMD architectures, running Windows and Linux. Through a combination of industry leverage, strategic partnerships and unique customer value-add, HP is the world leader in the Workstation business. Come join us in beautiful Fort Collins, Colorado.
As an engineer on the System Validation team, you will develop, implement and oversee system testing of HP Z Workstations. You will assist in creating new test technologies. You will analyze results of test experiments. You will interface with other hardware, firmware and software engineers on a regular basis. You may write/modify test software and you may analyze/debug electronic circuits as needed. You will work with the latest unreleased hardware and software technologies and will have excellent opportunities to gain a wide breadth of experience.
Additionally, you will be working with and helping to manage the day to day activities with our internal and external development partners.
Ideally, you have background in computer hardware and software. You must have solid troubleshooting skills and a strong drive to reach root cause on difficult technical issues. You need to be team-oriented, be innovative, possess a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, be quality-conscious, and have excellent communication and technical skills.
Education
+ Bachelor's Degree Candidate with a focus on electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related field
Desired Experience and Knowledge
+ Experience debugging and triaging difficult computer problems.
+ Experience with hardware and software debuggers, WinDBG, protocol analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
+ Knowledge of computer hardware, firmware and software architecture.
+ Knowledge of PC industry standards.

+ Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
+ Ability to provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members.
The pay range for this role is **$93,400** to **$143,800** USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
