Emmy Squared Queen Village is looking for a passionate and driven Assistant General Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our restaurant and help lead, guide, and develop our team. We are seeking an experienced hospitality leader who is ready to grow their career and play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences. Position Responsibilities:
As our Assistant General Manager, you will partner closely with the General Manager and oversee both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including:
+ Team Leadership: Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and developing restaurant team members. Provide daily supervision, coaching, and support to ensure policies, procedures, and service standards are consistently met.
+ Daily Operations: Supervise restaurant operations during shifts, inspect operational flow, delegate tasks, and ensure compliance with all company policies, processes, and health and safety standards.
+ Guest Experience: Oversee the floor during service, engage with guests, ensure all guests feel welcome, and lead service recovery efforts when issues arise to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
+ Financial & Labor Support: Assist with managing labor schedules, adjusting staffing as needed to meet business demands and financial goals.
+ Training & Development: Facilitate meetings and trainings on operational procedures, policies, and service standards while helping foster a positive, fun, and productive work environment.
Position Qualifications:
+ Experience: Minimum of 1 year of restaurant management experience in a full-service restaurant required.
+ Leadership: Proven ability to manage, develop, and motivate a high-performing team.
+ Skills: Proficiency with computers and restaurant systems; POS, scheduling, and reservation systems experience required (Toast and/or Dolce experience a plus). Strong written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment while delegating responsibilities.
+ Passion & Flexibility: Passion for food, hospitality, and providing exceptional guest experiences. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
+ Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs. and push/pull up to 75 lbs.
+ Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching overhead.
