Diagnostic Imaging at Banner University Medical Center - Phoenix is busy, fast paced, and gives you the opportunity to do what you do best: Providing excellent care for patients. Technologists here use state of the art digital imaging equipment to perform over 350 exams per day. Our department supports Diagnostic Imaging services for Inpatients, Outpatients, and Patients in the Ortho/Spine Clinic and the Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic.
We are seeking a candidate with strong knowledge of **CT, MRI, or both** , with a minimum of 2 years experience performing **3D post-processing** on a variety of imaging studies. This role involves working closely with advanced medical imaging technologies to create high-quality 3D reconstructions for clinical and research purposes.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position supports the medical 3D printing lab by working directly with clinicians and radiology staff to create accurate anatomic models and surgical guides. Prepares and processes medical images for 3D modeling, operates and maintains 3D printers, and performs quality review on printed parts. The role also assists with digital and physical inspections of models, documents maintenance activities, and contributes to clinical education by showing how 3D printing can help in patient care and treatment planning.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Oversees engineering and technical activities and planning in the 3D printing lab in coordination with clinician leader.
2. Develops and maintains quality management system and documentation of lab processes and operation.
3. Collaborates with clinicians and surgeons to develop 3D printed anatomic models and surgical guides to aid in their treatment of patients and participate in medical education programs. Identifies opportunities for applications of 3D printing at Banner.
4. Performs segmentation of medical images and CAD for anatomic models and guides in collaboration with radiology.
5. Maintains thorough knowledge of medical image segmentation.
6. Coordinates operation of multiple 3D printers and associated equipment to produce parts for Banner Healthcare and performs post-processing/finishing tasks.
7. Maintains quality system for 3D printing lab, including digital and physical inspection of 3D printed parts, performs and logs maintenance and machine activities.
8. Performs outreach with clinicians and patients advocating for the use of 3D printing in medicine. Participate in ongoing clinical/academic research on 3D printing in medicine.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required preferable in a related field of study.
Requires skills and abilities typically attained with: 5+ years’ experience in medical device manufacture, 3D CAD, and 3D printing; 3 years’ experience in digital design; and 2 years’ experience in printing medical parts.
Requires ability to tolerate exposure to conditions which may include toxic chemicals and fumes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering field of study preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
