Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a **Manager, Subcontract Administration 2** to join our team of qualified, diverse, individuals and lead the Payload & Space Vehicle Subcontracts team in support of the Intelligence Systems Division (ISD).
Position is based onsite in **Redondo Beach, CA** . This is not a teleworking position. No relocation will be provided.
Responsibilities:
+ Direct supervision of a staff of Subcontracts management professionals by assigning work priorities and daily assignments necessary to support the program objectives
+ Directly reporting to the I&S Senior Subcontracts Manager and working closely day-to-day with the I&S Global Supply Chain Program Management (GSCPM) and Payload & Space Vehicle IPT Directors to accomplish program execution priorities
+ Provide input into strategic objectives with both initiation and execution of these objectives
+ Provide effective oversight of the Subcontracts team that ensures compliance with established policies and procedures
+ The work will be conducted in an IPT/SMT environment to ensure all aspects of the subcontract - cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance in support of program requirements and commitments are met
+ Manage a portfolio of critical and complex subcontracts, including, but not limited to the following tasks
+ Managing a team responsible for development of subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services
+ Preparing bid packages, conducting bidders conferences, analyzing and evaluating proposals, negotiates subcontractor proposals, selection of subcontractors, creating subcontract awards, and administers resulting subcontracts
+ Negotiating and implementing additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts
+ Supporting various program proposal, ECP, and CROM activities - collaborate closely with other key program functions and stakeholders such as Program Management, Contracts, IPT Leadership, Engineering, Price/Cost & Compliance
+ Prepare and present executive level presentations
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree
+ 8 years (6 years with a Masters) of relevant experience in supply chain/subcontract/contract or project management
+ 2 years experience as a lead or supervisor
+ Must have a current and active Secret or Top Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
+ SCI clearance
+ Previous experience leading other individual contributors (hard-lined or dotted-lined)
+ Subcontracts experience and familiarity with Space programs and suppliers
Primary Level Salary Range: $146,600.00 - $219,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
