Responsibilities

This is a part-time Technical Service Representative position. Work schedules will vary depending on customer trialing and expectations, which will likely average to around 20 hours per week. Flexibility is required.

+ Promote customer trials and evaluations

+ Understand the customer’s demands and challenges.

+ Help develop technical information for customer engagement

+ Knowledgeable about industry relevant secondary operations

+ Partner with Product Development team to deliver products that a market needs and that will bring value to Eastman

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Technology and Quality Assurance, to develop and implement technical strategies and solutions.

+ Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in feed technology, and share relevant information with internal teams and customers.

+ Collect and analyze customer feedback and market insights to identify opportunities for product improvement and innovation.

+ Provide technical content to product presentations, leaflets and brochures to support sales and create papers and posters for technical forums.

+ Act as a technical advisor to the sales team, and assist with customer inquiries, product positioning, and market development.

+ Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry associations.

+ Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and technical forums.

Qualifications

+ Highschool diploma or equivalent required

+ 10 years’ experience in extrusion, particularly in biodegradable materials.

+ Proficiency with extrusion, injection molding, and other conversion technologies, particularly related to biodegradable materials.

+ >50% travel while working (part-time).

+ Knowledge of markets and convertors associated with biodegradable food service.
