    East Irondequoit Central School District (Irondequoit, NY)


    The East Irondequoit Central School District is seeking a compassionate & skilled LPN to provide 1:1 nursing care for a student with complex medical needs in a classroom setting at Mary Cariola Children's Center, Monday & Tuesday, 2.5 hours per day.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    + Track oxygen levels and administer via tracheostomy if needed.

    + Perform frequent suctioning to maintain airway.

    + Monitor classroom, therapy, and outside play and be prepared to respond if need arises.

    Job Qualifications

    + Valid LPN

    + Current CPR and First Aid Certification

    + Experience with gastrostomy (g-tube) and medication administration/tube feedings preferred.

    + Ability to work effectively, compassionately, and independently in a multidisciplinary team within a SPED Classroom.

    + Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

    + Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, parents, and healthcare providers

    + Knowledge of infection control, universal precautions, and emergency response planning

    + Prior experience with pediatric nursing and/or with special needs students

    + Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries

    + Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to learn and grow professionally in a dynamic school environment
