About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and flexible Behavior Technicians to support students across multiple school settings. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about helping students succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally. Behavior Technicians work closely with teachers, EC staff, and school administrators to provide individualized and group support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide 1:1 behavioral and instructional support to assigned students
+ Assist with small-group instruction, skill-building, and behavior reinforcement
+ Support whole-classroom behavior management alongside the teacher
+ Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and collect data as directed
+ Use de-escalation strategies and positive reinforcement techniques
+ Collaborate with teachers, EC staff, and school teams to support student goals
+ Float between schools as needed to meet district support needs
+ Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and consistent communication
+ Support students with autism, behavioral challenges, developmental delays, or emotional needs
Minimum Requirements
+ Must be 18 years or older
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required
+ Strong prior behavioral experience (ABA, residential, mental health, EC support, or similar)
+ Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive in challenging situations
+ Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between schools
+ Ability to follow structured behavior plans and collect accurate data
Preferred Qualifications
+ Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification – preferred but not required
+ Previous experience working in schools, EC classrooms, or youth programs
+ Experience supporting students with autism, behavioral needs, or developmental disabilities
+ Familiarity with ABA principles, de-escalation strategies, or crisis-prevention techniques
