Looking for a position to continue supporting the world’s finest submarine fleet? Amentum is seeking Submarine Acoustics/AN/BQQ-10 Technicians to provide technical support in the troubleshooting, repair, and upgrade onboard naval submarines. The position will be located at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), Norfolk, VA.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Provide technical evaluation and perform the required corrective actions for Submarine Acoustic systems casualties in accordance with the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual and all other applicable Navy Maintenance Procedures

+ Draft Technical Assistance Visit reports upon completion of corrective actions

+ Assist in the disassembly, reassembly, installation and testing of the BQQ-10 systems onboard all classes of submarines

+ Provide support to engineering and design staff in a variety of engineering tasks in the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, fabrication, construction and operation of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems in accordance with engineering specifications

+ Direct on-site customer interface for equipment/systems installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed

+ Comply with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, and system specifications and test procedures

+ Provide technical data and evaluation for components, equipment, and systems consistent with engineering plans, layout and contract requirements

+ Serve as senior/lead technician and assist in the training of other technicians

+ Perform other tasks as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

+ Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least ten (10) years of job-related experience or equivalent

+ Specialized Experience: Six (6) years of full-time engineering experience onboard submarines in the operation, maintenance, installation, test, or repair of SWFTS systems and/or weapons handling equipment.

+ Experience in evaluating the material condition of ship systems and implementing corrective action.

+ General Experience: Ten (10) years of full-time technical experience in the design, installation, test, or repair of electronics systems and equipment.

+ Active DoD secret clearance

+ U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Prior experience supporting the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC)

Compensation Details:

$21-$24
