    Performs cleaning and housekeeping projects following all department and hospital policies regarding hand-washing, personal protective equipment, and other infection control practices. Removes all regular and medical waste.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    * Removes all regular and medical waste.

    * Cleans and disinfects all bathrooms and fixtures according to departmental guidelines.

    * Cleans and disinfects all patient rooms on a daily basis per departmental guidelines.

    * Performs all cleaning functions as scheduled (high and low dusting, disinfecting of all surfaces, window cleaning, dry and wet mopping.)

    * Maintains all floor surfaces (dry and wet mopping, vacuuming, carpet shampooing or extraction, stripping, scrubbing, refinishing, burnishing.)

    * Completes all housekeeping projects as assigned (stairwells, elevators, doors…)

    * Attends monthly department meetings.

    * Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.

    PREFERRED

    * High School Diploma or equivalent.

    * 2 years of housekeeping experience preferred in education, healthcare, and/or business and industry.
