Required Education/Experience
+ Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of work experience or
+ Master's Degree and 6 years of work experience
Preferred Education/Experience
+ Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, Physical Science or a related field and experience in EH&S, Electric Transmission/Distribution, Power Generation, Construction or Substation Operations.
+ Master's Degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, Physical Science or a related field and experience in EH&S, Electric Transmission/Distribution, Power Generation, Construction or Substation Operations.
Relevant Work Experience
+ Must successfully complete training in the Corporate EH&S Procedures within 2 years of assignment, required.
+ Must be highly motivated individual, demonstrate a strong Commitment to Excellence, and understand the vital importance of personal accountability, required.
+ Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to successfully complete multiple tasks without compromising quality or timelines, required.
+ Must be able to develop concepts into successful safety and environmental programs, required.
+ Must possess strong leadership skills, initiate and champion change, and have the ability to influence and persuade others in order to improve work practices/processes, required.
+ Must be able to deliver exemplary customer service and develop a team spirited work environment in support of Con Edison's Corporate Values, required.
+ Must demonstrate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets and/or an ability to quickly become proficient with database packages including Microsoft Office, EMIS, SHIMS, and Maximo, required.

Additional Physical Demands
+ The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
+ Must be available to work off-hours as required.
+ Position requires extensive walking, stair and ladder climbing.
+ Must be physically able to wear a respirator and work in difficult environments (heat, noise and confined spaces).
+ Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
