    About the Role

     

    Seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to identify, pursue, and secure new business within the Federal Civilian and National Security sectors. This senior role leads the full lifecycle of business development activities, driving growth across core capabilities in **data** , **cyber** , and **IT modernization** .

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Growth & Customer Engagement

    + Partner with technical SMEs to develop mission?aligned solutions for new and existing federal customers.

    + Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with Government executives, Program Managers, contracting offices, and industry partners.

    + Serve as the voice of the customer in all proposals and solutioning efforts.

    + Maintain a strong presence with key accounts while continuously prospecting and developing new opportunities.

    Sales Lifecycle Leadership

    + Lead opportunity identification, qualification, capture, proposal development, and close.

    + Negotiate strategic and opportunity?based teaming agreements with industry partners.

    + Coordinate all customer?related communications, meetings, and activities with internal stakeholders.

    Pipeline Management & Reporting

    + Own and maintain a sustainable **18?month pipeline** , ensuring alignment with corporate growth strategy.

    + Deliver accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts.

    + Track and assess the effectiveness of industry events and maintain lead logs.

    + Support business planning, capture activities, and go/no?go decisions through research and analysis.

    Collaboration & Executive Communication

    + Work with business leaders to develop and manage account growth strategies.

    + Prepare and present information to prospects, partners, executive leadership, and boards.

    Qualifications

    Required

    + **10+ years** of business development and federal sales experience with proven year?over?year growth.

    + Demonstrated success building multi?year, complex partnerships.

    + Experience selling solutions in **data** , **IT platforms** , **software** , and **services** .

    + Successful sales experience with Federal Civilian and National Security agencies such as **DOJ, State Department, HHS, Treasury, DHS** .

    + Strong understanding of federal planning, budgeting, execution, and acquisition processes.

    + Proficiency with CRM and federal market tools (e.g., **GOVWIN, Salesforce, GovTribe, HigherGov, FPDS** ).

    + Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver under pressure.

    + Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

    + Demonstrated ability to monitor performance, adjust strategies, and meet expectations.

    + Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
