    About the Opportunity

     

    This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp.

     

    This is a full-time, on-site position located in Akron, OH.

    Position Summary

    Reporting to the Vice President, Transmission Strategy & Engagement, the Program Manager – Transmission is responsible for supporting the implementation of strategic initiatives and business performance objectives for stand-alone Transmission. This position will partner with stand-alone Transmission’s senior leadership team to synchronize strategy and financial planning reporting processes, drive cross-functional initiatives and governance, deliver impactful executive analysis and data insights, and streamline communications, reporting, and project execution to advance transmission segment goals in a continuous improvement culture.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide strategic counsel and operational support to the stand-alone Transmission leadership team.

    + Monitor, track, and sequence processes, procedures, and communications of within team.

    + Facilitate governance processes and frameworks utilized in process and continuous improvement initiatives.

    + Lead cross-functional projects to completion with clear accountability.

    + Utilize and gather data from multiple sources to produce executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations.

    + Track progress, identify risks, and coordinate mitigation efforts.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or related field.

    + 10+ years of experience in finance, rates & regulatory strategy, or operations.

    + Strong analytical skills; proficient in synthesizing complex data.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

    + Proven experience managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.

    + Strategic thinking: Ability to align operational, regulatory and financial priorities with organizational goals.

    + Analytical expertise and data management: Skilled in synthesizing complex data into actionable insights for executive decision-making.

    + Collaboration: ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and across all levels of the organization.

    + Project leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives with clarity and accountability.

    + Communication excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for executive-level reporting and stakeholder engagement.

    + Operational agility: ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to dynamic business needs.
