    Rye Country Day School is seeking an Advancement Coordinator to join its Advancement team. Rye Country Day School is a coeducational, Prek-12, college preparatory school located in Westchester County, New York dedicated to providing students with an excellent education using both traditional and innovative approaches.     The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple tasks efficiently and maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with donors, faculty, staff, and students. The ideal candidate will provide crucial administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of fundraising and development activities.

    Specific responsibilities of the position include:

    + Administrative Support: Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Advancement Office, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, all meeting prep, taking notes at meetings, and handling correspondence pre and post. Act as the front-line representative for the Advancement Office on the phone, virtually and in person.

    + Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of fundraising events and donor cultivation activities, including invites and logistics, RSVP tracking, interdepartmental coordination, and on-site support.

    + Communications: Draft, proofread, and edit communications/publications as needed. Assist as necessary in the mailing of solicitations, pledge reminders, acknowledgement letters, receipts, notes, etc.

    + Database Support: Assist in maintaining donor and alumni databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

    + Office Operations: Maintain office supplies, manage inquiries and work orders, and assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

    + Other duties as assigned

    Desired qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree required

    + Minimum of three years of professional experience in an office setting

    + Appreciation of and/or commitment to education and the independent school world; a willingness to become involved in the life of the school

    + Strong command of office technology and database tools including:

    + Microsoft suite, G-suite, etc.

    + Raiser’s Edge experience; preferred

    + Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

    + Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

    + Professionalism; a strong understanding of client/customer service

    + Warm and welcoming demeanor, as well as a sense of humor

    + Keen problem-solving skills and ability to act independently in situations that require initiative, diplomacy, and tact

    + Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

    + Discretion in handling confidential information

    + Required flexibility to work some evening and weekend events, both on and off campus

    + Ability to engage in some travel and light physical activity if needed.
