Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Sales Representative for a Construction Labor Staffing Services company. This company has been around for over 20 years, and doubled their size in the past two years. They grew 43% last year, and are looking to bring someone in to support their second largest location. This person will be responsible for the sales functions in the market, with eventual hope of being this locations General Manager. This person will be the face of Skillforce, educating local contractors on how to optimize their workforce with skilled, temporary labor. You’ll identify, secure, and grow client relationships, ensuring contractors can meet project demands efficiently while supporting craftsmen with steady work. Responsibilities include:
o Drive sales and revenue growth in a protected territory across the Richmond metro area
o Develop strategic daily and weekly activity plans to maximize outreach and lead conversion
o Prospect through cold calling, scheduled visits, and on-site engagement with contractors
o Assess current and upcoming project labor needs; present Skillforce staffing solutions to meet those need
o Coordinate logistics by communicating project details to field teams, and accompanying them to job sites.
o Manage leads effectively—qualify inbound leads and proactively generate new opportunities
o Build lasting relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and construction managers.
o This person will be based out of their Richmond, Virgina market, and will be responsible for the following:
Other Areas of Focus:
• Business Development & Client Growth
o Increase business with existing Skillforce customers within the assigned territory.
o Build and expand customer relationships across field, office, and corporate levels.
o Prospect and close new contractor accounts, leveraging SECOS database and other tools.
• Customer Service & On-Site Engagement
o Visit job sites and projects to provide on-site customer service and support.
o Identify new business opportunities and strengthen client relationships through regular site visits.
• Collaboration with General Manager & Recruiters
o Work with the General Manager to hire and manage field employees for clients in your territory.
o Collaborate with recruiters to ensure appropriate staffing and match the best talent to client needs.
• Anticipate & Manage Client Needs
o Identify and manage customer needs, expectations, and project requirements.
o Coordinate with the team to ensure the best possible craftsmen match for client projects.
• Sales Reporting & Performance Tracking
o Complete daily and weekly sales reports, including pipeline updates and itineraries for review by the General Manager.
o Maintain accurate notes for clients, job sites, work orders, and field employees in SECOS.
• Industry Representation & Networking
o Attend industry and trade association events to represent Skillforce professionally.
o Build and maintain relationships within the industry to expand Skillforce’s network.
• Adherence to Office & Scheduling Protocols
o Follow the office schedule and ensure all activities are completed in a timely manner.
o Adhere to daily and weekly office expectations outlined by the General Manager.
• Other Duties as Assigned
o Perform additional tasks and projects as required by the General Manager or corporate management.

Skills and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of B2B or outside sales experience, ideally in construction or staffing
o Preferably a service, not a product. Face to face. Back and forth sales
o Experienced with cold calling, in person sales, customer support, etc.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong time management, self-motivation, and resilience in a target-driven setting.
• Comfort engaging on active construction sites.
• Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and reporting sales activity preferred • Previous experience working within Construction or Staffing
