• Material Handler - Shipping

    Job Description

    Our client is a leading global provider of test and assurance solutions for networks, cybersecurity, and positioning. The Material Handler will work in their distribution location to provide backup support for the Materials department in Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Control. This team's focus is to ensure material transactions are done accurately and promptly. This position will sit onsite in Homdel, NJ Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm. Additional responsibilities include:

     

    • Perform material kitting and verification of pick lists.

    • Fill shortages by pulling inventory parts.

    • Conduct cycle counting and/or physical inventory as required.

    • Support the receiving function by receiving material into stock and properly completing all receiving paperwork, including paperwork for RMA’s and demo equipment while adhering to strict procedures.

    • Support the shipping function by processing shipping orders related only to miscellaneous shipments (kitting, parts, basic employee requests for FedEx, UPS). This includes proper product packing while adhering to strict procedures.

    • Utilize JDE software to enter in all transactions.

    • Follow all safety guidelines while performing duties.

    • Assist other Material Handlers and Stores Manager as required

     

    Follow strict guidelines regarding proper paperwork and procedures.

    Compensation:

    $18/hr to $21/hr

     

    Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

     

    Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching.     Skills and Requirements

    • High school diploma and 1-2 years of related experience in shipping and/or receiving

    • Picklist or packer experience

    • Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office

    • Familiarity with MRP software

    • Data entry skills

    • Good verbal and written communication skills

    • Good interpersonal skills
