Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced IT Program Manager to lead complex software initiatives from planning through delivery. This role combines hands-on project execution with program-level oversight, ensuring alignment with business objectives and successful outcomes across multiple teams. Key responsibilities include:

• Define scope, objectives, and success metrics for software projects and programs

• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, and resource allocations

• Oversee delivery of multiple software projects, managing dependencies and risks

• Track progress, budgets, and KPIs; implement corrective actions as needed

• Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors for seamless execution

• Communicate status updates, risks, and decisions to technical teams and executives

• Standardize processes and drive continuous improvement across initiatives

• Conduct post-project reviews and apply lessons learned to future programs

This is a 6-month contract role, fully remote, with standard hours of 8 AM–5 PM EST.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field

• 7+ years of experience in software project/program management

• Certifications: PMP, PgMP, Agile/Scrum (CSM or equivalent)

• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, DevOps, cloud platforms, and software architecture

• Proven experience delivering enterprise-level software solutions or SaaS products

• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies

• Proficiency with PM tools (Azure DevOps, MS Project) and collaboration platforms

• Excellent communication skills for both technical and executive audiences

• Self-driven professional with a track record of delivering results independently
