    ABOUT MAINSTAY:

    Mainstay Living has been helping people live independently for over half a century. As an established not-for-profit, your work will make a difference every day in the lives of our clients and your community.

    ABOUT THE JOB:

    As part of an exciting new program with MassHealth, Mainstay is bringing added support services to the formerly homeless throughout Massachusetts. Mainstay is currently in need of a home health aide to visit with clients one-on-one to assist with activities of daily living, including light housekeeping, medication reminders, and companionship. The current position involves travel — clients are in various locations in and around Quincy, so the candidate will be paid for travel and time — but will need reliable transportation.

     

    CHOOSE YOUR HOURS: We are looking for people who can fill various shifts all weekdays and weekends ($1 shift differential for weekend hours), seven days a week, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

     

    ADD HOURS/GO FULL TIME: A good, conscientious home health aide is always in demand. As your schedule changes, add hours, or even go full-time.

     

    PERSONAL GROWTH: This role will work in a growing program and there will be the ability to take on added responsibility and move up at an established not-for-profit partnering with MassHealth.

     

    BE A PART OF A NEW PROGRAM TO SUPPORT THE FORMERLY HOMELESS!!!

    What You’ll Do:

    + Build client trust and provide support for the formerly homeless.

    + Be Mainstay’s onsite face of the program and help clients understand its value.

    + Provide personal care (medication reminders, bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, toileting)

    + Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and meals

    + Offer companionship to clients

    + Monitor and report any health status changes to your manager

    + Maintain daily service logs and documentation

    Qualifications

    What You’ll Need:

    + Have a strong "won't-quit" attitude to build relationships within the client communities.

    + 1-3 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities or previously homeless(preferred)

    + CPR & First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)

    + Basic computer skills for documentation & communication
