Position Title: Test Technician I

Status: Full Time

Summary of the Job: The primary responsibilities of Testing Technician I are assisting Test Engineers in our Environmental Simulation and Climatic testing chambers . Technician I should also have a basic understanding of the equipment used for testing and the ability to follow test procedures.

Duties and responsibilities

+ Assist with project setup and performing tests

+ Perform maintenance of the lab equipment

+ Ability to travel to job sites and work varying shifts

+ Update chemical and equipment inventories

+ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience:

+ High School or AA in Science

+ 0-2 years’ experience in a material testing laboratory environment

Necessary Skills:

+ Basic problem-solving skills

+ Basic assembly skills

+ Good organizational skills

+ Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), maintain Lab ISO and process Safety procedures.

+ Work is performed mostly in a lab setting. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift objects up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
