    Join us at ChildServe as a Swim Instructor at our Johnston location, where you can make a difference in children’s lives through our unique swim program! Our warm, 92-degree indoor pool provides an inviting environment for lessons, respite groups, and therapy year-round for children with special healthcare needs.

     

    Schedule

     

    + Flexible evening or weekend hours based on your availability.

    + Ability to make your schedule working 2-10 hours per week.

     

    How You’ll Make an Impact

     

    + Teach group parent/child swim lesson classes or conduct private 1:1 swim lessons .

    + Ensure the safety and encourage effective movements of students during class.

    + Implement tailored movements or instructional feedback based on students' needs.

    + Provide clear, encouraging instructions to help students develop and grow.

    + Act swiftly and responsibly in emergencies in line with ChildServe's policies and procedures.

     

    What You’ll Need

     

    + Current American Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain through ChildServe .

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching swim lessons.

    + Ability to lift up to 35 lbs , be mobile within the clinic areas, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.

    + Ability to communicate effectively in (or through) reading, writing and speaking the English language.
