Summary
Assists the Chief Human Resources Executive/Associate General Manager (CHRE/AGM) and department leaders in coordination of departmental functions, preparation of budgets; monitoring the progress on Human Resource (HR) initiatives; and the conduct of special studies and assignments. Handles details of a confidential and sensitive nature. Requires broad knowledge of corporate operations and policy, and a high-level of experience, discretion and technical skill. Usually operates with great latitude for independent judgement and initiative.
What You'll Do
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and discretion while supporting AGM
• Provides effective cross-organizational teamwork, collaboration, communication and alignment across the HR function as guided by AGM
• Makes high-level contacts of a complex and confidential nature both inside and outside the company.
• Exercises independent judgment in actions regarding company matters.
• Assists the CHRE/AGM and leaders with development, communication and implementation of corporate strategic objectives, and HR strategic plans.
• Performs special projects and provides project management support as requested.
• Designs agenda, secures speakers, assists with content development, and facilitates HR Leadership, Expanded Leadership, and HR All-hands meetings.
• Collaborates with outside vendors to design and assist in facilitating annual HR Strategy Session.
• Collects and prepares information for CHRE/AGM’s use in discussions and meetings.
• Assists the CHRE/AGM in all aspects of board of directors, GM Staff, Council and Committee meetings.
• Develops presentations for the CHRE/AGM.
• Records meeting minutes which may contain sensitive information.
• In collaboration with HR Leaders, establishes annual HR budget and works closely with Financial Planning to input budget into the enterprise-wide system.
• Creates monthly budget reports for each CHRE/AGM direct report and meets monthly to track spending and prepare for monthly variance reporting.
• Acts as budget liaison to Financial Planning to finalize variance reports for HR on a monthly and year-end basis.
• Monthly and year-end presentations to CHRE/AGM on budget actuals/variances.
• Responsible for the management of HR TO’s, bids and job evaluation requests and advises on priority, compliance with policy and internal compatibility.
• Takes lead on project managing management team initiatives, i.e., engagement action plans.
• Outstanding problem-solving ability with a proactive approach to challenges
• Assists HCRE/AGM in managing tasks and priorities.
• Conducts research and analyzes data to inform executive decision making.
• Implements executive directions and follows up on outcomes.

+ SAP experience is a plus
+ Strong financial acumen and excel skills
+ Excellent collaboration and project management skills

Experience
A minimum of five years of related experience is required (if no degree, nine years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling nine years).
Education
A bachelor's degree relevant to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
