    Summary:

    As a vital member of the Acquisitions and Capital Markets team, the Senior Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving the organization’s growth through strategic equity and debt investments. With approximately 75% of time dedicated to equity acquisitions and 25% focused on debt investments, this position directly supports the company’s mission of expanding its multifamily portfolio and optimizing capital markets strategies.

     

    The Senior Analyst will leverage strong analytical skills and proficiency in investment valuation to assess complex opportunities, applying advanced Excel modeling expertise to inform investment decisions. This role offers a unique blend of strategic analysis, collaboration, and fieldwork, including property tours and market assessments. Success in this role requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated, and resourceful professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and contributes to a collaborative team culture.

     

    By working closely with brokers, lenders, executive leadership, and investors, the Senior Analyst helps shape the company’s investment strategy and ensures alignment with organizational goals. The core mission of this role is to drive value creation through sound underwriting, market analysis, and financial modeling while supporting the growth and strength of the company’s investment platform.

    Essential Duties:

    Equity Acquisitions

     

    + Underwrite new multifamily acquisition opportunities by building comprehensive financial models and evaluating investment risks and returns.

    + Manage due diligence processes, including property tours, document review, and coordination with third parties, to validate assumptions and finalize business plans.

    + Prepare detailed investment materials and presentations for the Investment Committee, executive management, and external investors.

    + Conduct market analyses and engage with investment brokers to assess market trends, comparable transactions, and potential investment opportunities.

     

    Debt Investments

     

    + Underwrite pools of Freddie Mac loans within K-series securitizations, assessing risk profiles and evaluating collateral quality.

    + Facilitate lender underwriting processes, obtain financing quotes, and evaluate financing structures and alternatives to support acquisitions and recapitalizations.

     

    Financial Analysis & Strategic Support

     

    + Develop robust financial models to support forecasting, ad hoc analysis, and scenario planning.

    + Participate in strategic planning and budget processes, contributing analytical insights to support decision-making.

     

    Collaboration & Communication

     

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, brokers, lenders, and third-party consultants to drive transaction success and ensure alignment with company objectives.

    + Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to internal and external stakeholders.

    Education and/or Experience:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.

    + 2-3 years of relevant experience in multi-family investment analysis, acquisitions, lending, investment banking or principal side underwriting.

    + Advanced Excel proficiency, with a strong background in financial modeling and valuation analysis.

    + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively.

    + Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

    + Passing CFA Level 1 exam is encouraged; Morgan Properties reimburses the cost of obtaining CFA designation.

    + Successful completion of Morgan Properties’ proprietary Excel test is required.

    Salary range: $90,000-$105,000/yr

     

    If you are hired at Morgan Properties, your overall compensation package will also be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
