    Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium, MI is seeking a MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST to join our HOUGHTON CLINIC RECEPTION team!

    Duties include:

    + Greets, registers, and assists patients professionally while maintaining confidentiality.

    + Efficiently schedules patient appointments according to established parameters as defined by office policy and procedure.

    + Obtains and maintains complete and accurate registration records.

    + Courteously answers all phone calls, providing routine information to callers and transfers calls to appropriate individual.

     

    HOURS: Supplemental; 0.4 FTE or 32 hours per pay period.

    Experience/Qualifications

    + Knowledge of office procedures normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Computer experience and basic computer keyboarding skills required.

    + One year of business office, customer service or healthcare experience preferred.

    + Knowledge of medical terminology desirable.

    + Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high degree of professionalism.
