Department: Corporate Materials Management, Purchasing Administration
Hours: Remote, M-F, 8:00-4:30.
The Contract Analyst will support the Contracting Team in their decision making through retrieval and analysis of data from various system sources. They will provide ongoing technical assistance as input to contract negotiations for data analysis, compare and contrast both internal and external comparative databases and benchmarking information. Develop and maintain dashboards for monitoring, rebate performance and contract spend performance.
Accountabilities
+ Responsible for the development of analytical tools and data transformation to support contracting initiatives.
+ Oversee Supply Chain rebate process including development and maintenance of a rebate dashboard, calculation of rebate allocations and data sharing with Contract Managers with intent to proactively manage rebate performance.
+ Responsible to analyze the monthly Distributor price change files and work collaboratively with the Contract Managers and leadership to analyze, escalate as necessary, approve and provide necessary information to SCIS team to update system.
+ Utilizes large complex data sets to meet functional and non-functional business requirements
+ Builds the analytics infrastructure required for integration information from a wide variety of data sources using task specific appropriate tools
+ Creates and utilizes appropriate databases to collect and aggregate pertinent data, compile, sort analyze, and display data collected in requested format
+ Ability to normalize, manipulate, and interpret clinical and purchasing data
+ Extensive knowledge of clinical and supply chain terminology and processes
+ Ability to assist with the creation and presentation of data to facilitate discussion with stakeholders
+ Attends planning and status meetings with team members, system administrators, and/or vendors to understand project requirements and provide constructive commentary
+ Continuously improves departmental processes, programs, operations, and services
+ Ability to attend to a more than one aspect of a situation simultaneously
+ Monitors and create reports generated to ensure reports are accurately capturing required data, work with contracting team and vendors to understand the data and the next steps
+ Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
+ Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization
Minimum Requirements
Required Education and Experience
+ Bachelor's Degree Or 5+ years Experience in the related area (IS, Supply Chain) is required.
+ Experience with Clinical documentation system, preferably EPIC is preferred.
+ Proficiency in benchmarking programs, i.e. Vizient, ECRI, Curvo is preferred.
Required Skills and Abilities
+ Experience with relational SQL queries
+ Strong quantitative and analytical abilities
+ Ability to express technical information clearly and simply to non-technical person
+ Expertise in Excel to include complex formulas i.e. V Lookups, Pivot Tables, Charts and Graphs
+ Expertise in MS Access
+ Expertise in Adobe (conversion of files)
+ Expertise in MS Word
+ Ability to use Microsoft Outlook
+ Ability to work without close supervision
+ Strong written, oral, and non-verbal communications skills
+ Critical Thinking skills
+ Positive, friendly, and patient approach to end users
+ Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
