The Floating Substitute inspires students and staff by:

+ Being an active member of the school team by embodying, advocating, and operationalizing the mission and values of the school

+ Maintaining rigorous academic culture in the absence of a teacher

+ Maintaining positive classroom culture across the school, modeling the use of behavior incentive and discipline systems in the absence of a staff member

+ Maintaining positive school culture during critical points of the school day and year – arrival, dismissal, recess, and testing days

+ Providing classroom culture support on an as-needed basis

+ Taking on other tasks, as needed

Physical Requirements

+ Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

+ This is an in-person role
