We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to join our Geospatial team. In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to executive leaders, guiding strategic investment decisions, shaping technology roadmaps, and the successful delivery of complex digital project and geospatial solutions. You’ll play a critical leadership role in aligning business objectives with innovative technology solutions transforming how clients optimize their geospatial programs.
What You’ll Do
•Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise geospatial solutions, with a strong focus on ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Utility Network, and related Esri technologies.
•Define and guide enterprise GIS roadmaps, including system modernization, cloud and hybrid architectures, data governance, and long-term platform sustainability.
•Architect and oversee integrations between GIS and enterprise systems, including Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Outage Management Systems (OMS), Customer Information Systems (CIS), planning and engineering applications, analytics platforms, and field mobility solutions.
•Provide technical leadership for Utility Network migrations, data remediation strategies, network modeling, and alignment with operational and planning workflows.
•Partner with client stakeholders to translate business objectives into scalable geospatial architectures that support operations, capital planning, reliability, and customer engagement.
•Lead solution planning, estimating, and delivery oversight for complex geospatial programs, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, quality, and client expectations.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including GIS consultants, developers, data specialists, integration architects, and business analysts—to deliver end-to-end enterprise solutions.
•Support business development by contributing to proposals, pursuits, solution positioning, and client presentations focused on geospatial and digital transformation initiatives.
•Facilitate leadership-level and technical workshops, architecture reviews, solution demonstrations, and proofs of concept to communicate value and build consensus.
•Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a long-term technical advisor and identifying opportunities for expanded geospatial services.
•Mentor and develop geospatial team members, promoting technical excellence, architectural rigor, and consulting best practices.
•Stay current on emerging geospatial technologies, Esri platform advancements, and utility industry trends, contributing to internal and external thought leadership.
Preferred Experience
•Extensive experience delivering enterprise GIS solutions, preferably within utilities or other critical infrastructure environments.
•Deep hands-on knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise, including portal architecture, services, security, performance, and high-availability deployments.
•Proven experience with ArcGIS Utility Network, including data modeling, migration planning, data quality remediation, and integration with operational systems.
•Experience integrating GIS with EAM, OMS, CIS, planning, engineering, and analytics platforms to support end-to-end business workflows.
•Strong background in geospatial architecture, system assessments, technology roadmapping, and implementation planning.
•Experience leading requirements definition and solution design efforts in close collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
•Demonstrated ability to lead solution demonstrations, architecture workshops, and proofs of concept for geospatial platforms and tools.
•Proven track record delivering complex, multi-system digital or geospatial transformation initiatives.
•Strong facilitation, communication, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
•Experience contributing to industry thought leadership through conference presentations, publications, or professional forums.
•Experience supporting business development through proposal development, solution positioning, and pursuit strategy.
•Prior experience mentoring or coaching junior consultants and technical staff.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field from an accredited program and 7 years related professional experience Required
+ Architecture and integration skills, including areas such as data architecture, cloud architecture, middleware, communications, or other architectural methods and practices.
+ Understanding of current and emerging associated technologies to manage and deliver quality enterprise solutions in both Information Technology (IT) and Operations Technology (OT) domains.
+ Experience with a variety of project execution methodologies.
+ Experience with leading-edge application(s), operations technology and solutions utilizing various industry standard tools.
+ Experience developing executive-level technology assessments, roadmap strategies focusing on enterprise and/or operation technologies.
+ Strong ability to influence or lead project execution.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
