    About This Role

     

    CAE, one of the largest business aviation training facilities, is looking for a Simulator Technician in our newest training center in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role you will perform preventative maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems.

    Essential Job Functions

    + Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems.

    + Assist in diagnosing and correcting routine problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems.

    + Perform pre-flight and post flight tasks on designated simulators.

    + Perform basic visual alignments.

    + Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).

    + Utilize maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.

    + Complete all designated training activities.

    + Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.

    + Learn and comply with CAE quality management system.

    + Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.

    + Perform logistics duties, including parts received, repair, and testing/validation.

    + Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators as required.

    + Perform all administrative tasks as required.

    Education & Experience Requirements

    + 2-year technical degree or equivalent related training

    + 1 year of simulator related experience in (electronics/avionics, automated systems, or computer networking repair and troubleshooting)

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    + Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and schematics

    + Knowledge of analog and digital theory

    + Basic skills in the operation of test equipment

    + Basic skills in soldering and circuit board repair

    + Some knowledge of PCs and MS-Office tools and suite

    + Motivated in customer support and attention to detail

    Location

    + The primary work location for this position is at the Las Vegas Training Facility in Nevada

    + Minimal travel may be required (less than 10%).
