About Team

The Walmart Emerging-Tech group is a group charted to drive the creation of the next generation retail and shopping experiences for both online and in-store. The group leads Walmart’s efforts in the areas of Emerging Content, XR, Conversational AI, Voice Assistants, and more. As the Emerging Content team, we are building completely new capabilities to allow our customers discover and interact with products online. In addition to the end-user experiences the group also builds platform APIs and tools to enable other teams leverage next-generation content.

What you'll do:

+ Writeclean, resilient, and well-tested code (in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Java); participating in code reviews with teammates; ensuring that all code has proper unit, functional, and integration tests.

+ Participate in various projects with cross-functional teams to deliver high impact solutions for Walmart.

+ Translate business goals and feature requirements into actionable technical solutions;clarifying project requirements; prioritizing customer-centered outcomes.

+ Efficiently communicates status, blockers, and requirements to team and stakeholders.

+ Debug and troubleshoot business and production issues for various desktop and mobile browsers by gathering and evaluating information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause); engaging teammates to quickly resolve issues.

+ Supports the implementation of solutions by actively participating and engaging in partnerships across various teams; providing integral feedback to ensuring the scalability and reliability of our offerings.

+ Role models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

What you'll bring:

+ BS/MS in Computer Science or related field

+ 3+ years of programming experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS

+ 3+ years of experience with Java

+ 3+ years of experience with frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular

+ 3+ years of experience with NodeJS

+ Experience in Frontend App Development and Backend Development

+ Experience developing and integrating with REST based backend services

+ Strong oral and written communication skills

+ Good problem-solving attitude and analytical skills

+ Experience developing, operating, and supporting high volume applications in production.

Preferred** **Additional Skills** **:

+ Experience with React Router

+ Experience with Redux

+ Experience in WebGL, ThreeJS, WebXR

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
