    Overview

     

    Calling all pet lovers! We are looking for a Junior Copywriter to join an exceptional team helping to promote one of the most trusted names in pet care. Candidates should be as passionate about big ideas as they are about daily assignments, seeking out the creativity to be had in each opportunity.

     

    Ideal candidates should be a self-starter, someone who can meet deadlines for a high volume of daily work, can follow and apply brand and retailer guidelines, understands what motivates shoppers, and brings a unique perspective that can help grow our collective thinking.

     

    Junior Copywriter get the opportunity to collaborate with art directors to develop and write for a range of creative executions like banner ads, microsites, e-comm brand pages, in-store displays, social media, print ads, video and concepting for national shopper or promotional campaigns.

    Responsibilities

    + Collaborate with teams of art directors, strategists and account leads to create a high volume of work on time, on budget and on point

    + Concept and communicate across a family of brands

    + Provide copy options that explore a range of communication hierarchies

    + Create customized communication from brand and retailer digital content, and templates across multiple retailer media networks

    + Participate actively in brainstorms and deliver best-in-class creative that exceeds client objectives.

    + Be a source of inspiration, positivity, and creativity for others

    + Desire and ability to self-motivate and motivate others to creatively and strategically solve multiple problems at once, under quick deadlines

    Qualifications

    + Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)

    + A degree or portfolio school diploma in English, journalism, communications, or a related field

    + 1-3 years’ experience as an advertising or marketing copywriter or working internships that equate

    + Must have online portfolio or PDF representing campaign ideas or executions, strategic conceptual ideation, attention to detail and a variety in voice and writing style

    + A solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles

    + Exceptional writing skills and attention to detail and grammar

    + Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle different writing demands

    + Ear to the ground when it comes to pop culture and emerging trends/technologies

    + Understanding of the creative process and how to integrate ideas cohesively across print, digital, video, and other media

    + Appreciation for data and how it can drive bigger thinking and creativity

    Compensation Range: $53,960 - $71,610 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
