Job Title: Vice President
Job Duties: Participate in the design and development of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and tools for the Aladdin Product Group (APG) to improve their developer experience. Work on the designing service definitions to help product teams in APG with configurations needed to migrate their applications to cloud native platform. Work on building an end to end SDLC process for Python applications for the Aladdin Product Group. Create software design from the business requirements. Develop software systems using JAVA, Spring, Cassandra, Sybase, REST, BlackRock’s Messaging System. Create containerized builds for Python applications by leveraging Docker Deployment and Release of software to production. Collaborate with stakeholders on delivery and requirements. Create Azure Dev Ops pipelines and building docker images for Python applications. Development of web applications using Angular 9, TypeScript, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML. Collaborate with users of the system for product demos and training. Lead design and implementation of migrating all Aladdin applications to run in Aladdin containerized platform. Deliver design and implementation of the process of auto-updating Aladdin library patch updates to applications, resulting in applications getting automated patches. Provide mentorship and guidance for new team members as technical lead to achieve team goals for project.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or as an Associate, Engineer 3; Associate, Engineer 2; Analyst; Developer; or related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field of study and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or as an Associate, Engineer 3; Associate, Engineer 2; Analyst; Developer; or related occupation. Must have four (4) years of experience with: Utilizing operating systems, including Linux and Unix; Utilizing database technologies, including Sybase ASE and MSSQL; Utilizing application support technologies, including JBOSS and Apache; Utilizing Big Data concepts and technologies including Hadoop, Cassandra, and NoSQL; Programming languages such as Java and Python; and Utilizing Agile Development methodologies: Angular, HTML, and Javascript for front-end development. Must have three (3) years of experience with: Docker and Kubernetes; and Cloud-based systems including patching of application images. Must have two (2) years of experience with: Apache Kafka and EventBus for distributed systems and event-driven architectures; and Snowflake. Must have any amount of experience with: Azure DevOps including CI/CD and pipeline engineering.

For San Francisco, CA Only the salary range for this position is USD$170,300.00 - USD$215,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
