The Effectors Center within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) organization is currently hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Tucson, AZ location on the Javelin program. SE&TC is an exciting and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to design, develop and partner with multi-disciplines to shape innovative solutions for our customers.
The Senior Systems Engineer is a technical role contributing across the Javelin Portfolio of products and offers experiential growth across the entire systems engineering lifecycle. This is an Onsite role located in Tucson, AZ. Periodic travel may be expected depending on the given task assignment.
What You Will Do:
+ Lead technical discussions, and formulate plans of action byleveragingcompany Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across multiple engineering disciplines
+ Manage Javelin System requirements and verification evidence to include requirements change control and delta qualification tests
+ Work within a close-knit team of fellow systems engineers and collaborate cross functionally with other engineering disciplines to effect efficient and lasting solutions to problems
+ Consult with program Lead Systems Engineer and Test Architect to ensure system requirements are adequately reflected in Verification Cross Reference Matrices and verification evidence supports the system requirements as written
+ Communicate with customers, internal and external, the status of work products; influence decision making toward the ‘best value’ for the program and its customers
+ Prepare andsubmitcontract data itemsin accordance withdocumentation standards flowed via contracts
+ Demonstrate the spirit of The Doctrine of Completed Staff Work whilemaintainingRaytheon’s values of collaboration and agility
Qualifications You Must Have:
+ Typically requiresaBachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience. We should not be using this on Engineeringreqs. or,an advanced degree in related a related field with minimum 3 years relevant experience
+ Must haveexperience with test plan development and requirements verification
+ Must haveexperience with development and production/sustainment programs
+ Musthave experience in EO sensing systems and fundamental missile architecture and design
+ Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance isrequiredprior to start date. U.S. citizenship isrequired.
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ Familiarity with defense technology acquisition and acquisition organizations
+ Familiarity with military tactics, techniques, and procedures with a US Army focus
+ Experience with import and export control regulationsregardingdefense technologies and articles
+ Prior experience with cost and schedule management as an integrated or cross product team lead.
+ Varying degrees of experience and knowledge in adjacent technical disciplines such as software and configurable logic development, electrical and mechanical engineering, subsystem/systemintegrationand test
+ Prior experience partnering with functions outside of technical disciplines such as supply chain and finance
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on technical writing
+ Proficient with the DOORS tool and corresponding requirements development and management techniques for system and subsystem indenture levels
+ Experience with configuration management tools (e.g.Windchill), configuration control boards, and document release experience (engineering and formal release)

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
