• Director of Volunteer Services

    Medical Center Hospital (Odessa, TX)


    Position Summary :

    As director of Volunteer Services, this person provides administrative direction, management, coordination and consultation for all volunteer service programs of the health system. Assists with organizational and departmental regulations pertaining to volunteers.

    Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in management, communications, leadership, organizational or related field.

    Training and Experience:

    CAVS - Certified Administrator of Volunteer Service as administered by AHA (American Hospital Association) preferred

    Job Knowledge:

    Good written and oral communication skills, (verbal, interpersonal and written formats). Hands-on experience in leadership management, conflict management, resolution and ability to handle high levels of stress. Three years’ experience in a volunteer, non-profit or healthcare organization with knowledge of community preferred. Must attend Leadership Odessa and belong to least two volunteer management affiliations and/or organizations. Ability to write and give internal and external presentations to various types, size and gender- based organizations. Ability to be self-motivating and able to work without direct supervision. Ability to relate to people of all ages from diverse backgrounds and with diverse skills.
