    Join the Simos team as a Facility Technician earning $18.50/hour. In this seasonal role, you will perform general labor and facility maintenance tasks, including lifting and moving materials, loading and unloading, maintaining a clean workspace, and organizing inventory. Candidates should have experience in mechanical, electrical, or general maintenance, be comfortable with physical work, and work well independently and with a team. This position is 40 hours per week, 6am- 2pm, on a Wednesday-Sunday schedule (weekends required, some weekdays (flexibility). Assignment runs through mid-March with an Immediate start. Resume required. 1 year maintenance department experience

    Duties:

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

    + Handles basic issues and problems

    + Good interpersonal skills

    + Capability to lift/move heavy objects

    + Ability to follow direction

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

    + All Facility Tech 1.2 qualifications

    + Trained and licensed on Reach and Order Picker Forklift.

    + Qualified and experienced completing facility and listed production equipment PMs

    + Qualified and experienced completing facility work order repairs.

    + Experienced at completing Facility Projects independently.

    + Trained and experienced completing at least 2 rotations of mobile equipment battery watering.

    + Trained, certified and experienced completing Haz-Mat

    + 1 year maintenance department experience

    Position Requirements:

    + Ability to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs. without powered equipment assistance

    + Visual capacity to clearly recognize, read, and understand standard operating procedures, signs, part number labels, and instructions

    + Ability to see/hear and distinguish sounds and signs that alert, instruct, or notify one of danger, such as warning signs, horns, alarms, speech, and vehicular/pedestrian traffic

    + Ability to coordinate maneuvering of varied bilateral hand and foot controls at a rapid pace

    + Ability to utilize personal protective equipment, which may include gloves, safety harnesses, and safety shoes

    + Flexibility to work in either a hot or cold work environment

     

    Requirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Stand for Shift Duration, Must be at least 18 years old.Able to Lift 50 pounds., required education: HS Diploma or GED.
