We are currently seeking a SAP PS consultant role to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
Job Description:
Experience:
A minimum of 8+ years in a senior SAP PS consultant role
End to End SAP S/4HANA implementation is a must
Collaborate with other SAP team members to ensure seamless integration across modules.
Monitor and optimize Project System processes using SAP PS functionalities.
At all times adhere to GxP and IT QMS standards and deliver highest quality process design, functional requirements, configuration, testing and documentation.
Work closely with relevant business functions across all global sites to maintain a detailed and current knowledge of their organization, processes, priorities and system needs.
Document configuration changes and provide training to end-users.
Analyze complex warehouse processes, identify areas for improvement, and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
Configure and customize SAP PS functionalities,
Ensure seamless integration of SAP PS with other relevant modules (FI, CO, AA, MM, QM).
Develop and execute test plans (unit, integration, regression, UAT) to validate SAP PS configurations and ensure data accuracy and system reliability.
Provide ongoing support by troubleshooting and resolving functional issues related to SAP PS , adhering to IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.
Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to business users, providing training and guidance on SAP PS functionalities and best practices.
Collaborate with technical teams (e.g., ABAP developers) to address development needs, implement enhancements, and ensure successful integration with external systems
Stay updated with the latest SAP PS advancements and recommend relevant solutions.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration is usually expected.
S/4 HANA certification is preferred
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using and configuring SAP Project Systems functionalities such as:
Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
Networks and Activities
Project Planning and Budgeting
Milestone Management
Cost Planning, Forecasting, and Tracking
Actual Cost Posting and Settlements
Strong understanding of SAP PS integration with:
Material Management (MM): Material reservations, procurement for project stock.
Warehouse Management (WM): Goods movements, stock transfer for project components.
Quality Management (QM): Inspection lots for project-delivered materials.
Production Planning (PP) and Manufacturing: Project-based production orders.
Plant Maintenance (PM): Maintenance projects using WBS elements.
Controlling (CO) and Finance (FI): Budget availability control, actual cost posting, and settlement processing.
Hands-on knowledge of:
SAP Fiori Apps for project reporting and management (e.g., "Project Brief”, "Project Cost Forecast”, "Confirm Project Milestone”)
Enhancing user experience in project-related processes through custom Fiori tiles
Soft Skills:
Key soft skills include strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
Strong client communications under the guidance of project leadership
The ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions, presentation skills, the capacity to work independently, and strong organizational skills are also valuable
Working as module lead, team lead and team member
Build positive working relationships with clients by contributing to the development of business requirements and functional designs.
Contribute to knowledge sharing and innovation by participating in team forums and helping develop tools or templates to enhance project delivery and operational efficiency.
Stay current with SAP's latest solutions by participating in training and continuous learning opportunities to support business transformation initiatives.
Work collaboratively within a team and across various business units, supporting colleagues and contributing to team success.
Support junior team members, providing guidance and gaining leadership experience through mentorship.
Maintain awareness of commercial and contractual considerations when delivering client projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Preferred qualifications
Preferred qualifications include SAP certification in PS
Knowledge of project management methodologies, and experience in a consulting environment

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is **($110 - 114 /hourly )** . This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
This position is eligible for company benefits that will depend on the nature of the role offered.
