We are seeking a Project Manager to play a critical role in our Service Delivery Transformation initiative, specifically within the Digitalization Workstream. This position will lead the documentation of business requirements for the implementation of a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, ensuring that solutions align with operational needs and transformation objectives.
+ Use the previously established product vision in concert with deep market understanding to inform the product strategy
+ Evaluate market needs against UL’s and competitors’ unique abilities to address them
+ Support and contribute to a go-to-market strategy, describing how value will be delivered to the customer/user, how the product is differentiated from the competition, and what the business model should be
+ Prioritize product functions and features into a product roadmap
+ Monitor a set of product goals, outcomes and corresponding metrics to continually evaluate against
+ Evangelize and communicate the product vision, strategy and goals internally across the organization, as well as externally with client users
+ Actively model and promote a set of desired behaviors aligned with UL’s WoW
+ Take ownership of own career and professional development by documenting and communicating career aspirations and any associated development needs to their manager
+ Support career development needs of direct reports, by clearly defining expectations for their current role, actively soliciting their career aspirations and helping close any gaps
+ Support an efficient cross-functional matrix structure to enable effective product development lifecycle
+ Execute a robust set of processes to power all parts of the product development lifecycle from research/discovery to release management and product support
+ Leverage a standard set of product management tools to be used across the product organization at each of the stages of the lifecycle
+ Collaborate with process owners and functional subject matter experts to elicit and document comprehensive business requirements for the implementation of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
+ Translate operational workflows into clear, actionable requirements for technical teams.
+ Leverage in-depth PLM knowledge to propose optimal solution configurations that address business needs, ensuring alignment between system capabilities and operational requirements.
+ Maintain requirements traceability and manage scope changes.
+ Ensure that requirements gathering and solution design reflect the needs and priorities of all impacted functions.
+ Facilitate communication between business units and IT/technical teams.
+ Support user acceptance testing and validate delivered functionality.
+ Support training and change management for business users.
+ Provide feedback on system usability and process improvements.
+ Understand core PLM processes (BOM management, change control, configuration management).
+ Ensure requirements reflect best practices and business priorities.
+ Facilitation skills – ability to lead small to medium groups of internal and external stakeholders towards desired outcomes in order to meet business objectives
+ Interview skills – ability to conduct discovery sessions with clients. prospects and stakeholders in order to diagnose business opportunities, elicit requirements and conduct other types of research
+ Strong communication and presentation (PowerPoint) skills
+ Product management tools – product design (e.g. Invision, Zeplin), development task management (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps), documentation and knowledge (e.g. Confluence, SharePoint), collaboration (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Slack), roadmap and portfolio management (e.g. Aha!, Daptiv)
+ Formal training and/or certification in Product Management is a plus
+ University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor's degree) in Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline
+ 5 years or more of related discipline experience or demonstrated competency
+ Working with remote teams is highly preferred
+ Project management certification is a plus
Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $113,100 to $150,700 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
